It seems right now that no bag is complete without some sort of fluffy pom-pom. First dangling on Gucci’s sandals in it’s autumn/winter 2015 catwalk, this frivolous accessory became a hit after Fendi presented the bug bag and the fur monster charm. The trend was quickly adopted by celebrities and bloggers.

Lucky for us, the pom-poms are still very trendy. Today, they embellish lace-up flats, designer stilettos, dress, pants, beanie hats, earrings, keychains… They are everywhere. Even on sneakers!
Why the pom-poms became such a success? Well, they do provide the opportunity to add a splash of colour to our outfit. They’re also useful to up date a neutral handbag. But the main reason, I think, that explains the success of this accessory, it’s simply because it’s fun. And fashion should be about that, right?
If the pom-poms don’t appel to you. There are other options. For example, you could add to your handbag a scarf, a brooch or the J. Crew coin purse. Hurry up if you want the coin purse. The gold, the black and the roasted chestnut are still available but the other colours are sold out.
