The 21 Day Challenge of La Parisienne: my #ootd

See the English version below.

English version

According to RECYC-Québec, each person throws away 24 kg of clothing per year. Stacked, these 190,000 tons of fabric would form a 55 m high mountain, an 18-storey building ! In response to the fast-fashion, La Parisienne launched the “21-Day Challenge” in partnership with the CBC television channel, where participants must create sets for 21 days in a row with only 10 pieces of clothing. Luckily, that doesn’t include shoes, jewelry, handbags, coats and all other accessories. # defi21jourslaparisienne

The objective? Raise awareness about better habits by empowering consumers. The initiative is inspired by the simplified trend of a tight wardrobe consisting of a few carefully selected pieces so that they can easily be matched to create stylish sets without headaches. Known as the “Wardrobe Capsule”, this approach encourages better consumption and saves time and money.

This is a chic concept and not just for the planet! In addition, participants are given the chance to win a trip for two in Scandinavia, worth approximately $ 10,000. I’m in. I specifically launched my blog 3C Style with these values in mind. For 21 consecutive days, I will wear the same 10 pieces of clothing. Ouch! Fortunately, this does not include accessories such as handbags, jewelry, shoes and coats. Ahhhh! I should be able to cope. In fact, I started the challenge on September 12th. I share with you this week my first seven sets.

  1. I love all your outfits, but most importantly I love the concept. So true about wasting and throwing away. Although, I do not do this. I sell my unwanted items in garage sales or give them away. Most of the time, I accumulate them and I use them over and over again over the years. That is because I only buy pieces I love and generally they are classic items. I hope you win the trip to Scandinavia. Good luck! xoxo Cris
