Last Minute Low-Budget DIY Christmas Presents

If you’re like me, you try to give meaningful presents. And selfmade gifts exude a special warmth. Here is a last minute low-budget DIY Christmas present idea. These chandelier earrings made from Origami by my friend Sarah are so lovely. I especially like the flower ones as they remind me of Poinsettias which make them perfect for a Christmas gift… For those special friends or for yourself.

Due to recent events I still find myself in rather a low place at the moment and although I kind of promised myself to never do this because I consider myself an endless fountain of creativity and inspiration 😉 , I now have decided to pull some earlier posts from my archives and reblog them.

Actually this might not be such a bad idea after all, since in the early days of my blog there wasn´t much activity going on (which I know is perfectly normal), and I think some of those posts deserve revisiting and to be presented to a wider audience.

And because I know how it is sometimes with reblogs, I simply copied the content into this post rather than have you go to the trouble and click yourself to the original post. 😉

Hope you will enjoy this for the moment and as always I´m…

    1. First time I’m doing a reblog. Wasn’t too sure what to do exactly. Hope I did everything the proper way. I will try to do the flower earrings over the holiday break and will let you know how it went. Like everything else in life that looks simple, I imagine it is not that easy. 😊 Merry Christmas to you too Sarah. Jolly holidays and Happy new year!

    2. You did perfectly, Dominique! And I’m so honoured to be your first reblog!! I can’t wait to hear about your earring crafting after the holidays and hope you’ll share some lovely pictures on your blog!
It’s not as easy as it appears but with a little bit of patience it’s easy enough 😉 Best to start with some bigger pieces of paper and then work your way down to the small sized ones. Thanks a so much again and happy crafting! 😄😚

    3. Thanks for the tips. I will ask my daughter for her help. She is pretty good usually for this kind of crafting. If we succeed, you will definitely see pictures! Is the first reblog the same as a first kiss? Something we never forget. 💞

    1. I have way too many hobbies and too little time. It’s an ongoing dilemma and now I want to learn how to fold origami haha. I love it and thanks for putting me on to it. I would like to make a crane mobile

    1. It is my first try with origami and I have to keep practicing a little but I am very motivated as these earrings are indeed very lovely. Besides I went public and said I would make them. The whole Internet is tracking me now… 😉 Got to back it up!
